Learn to Dance with West Coast Swing

Expand on the basics and add some style to your swing. This course is a rolling course that will improve your social West Coast Swing skills.

West Coast Swing is taking the world by storm. Danced to contemporary music such as Pop, RnB, Blues, Funk, Swing and more, it is the perfect and most versatile partner dance. Characterised by a distinctive smooth elastic look, this is one of the coolest and most popular partner dances around today.

Sundays is Swing Day with Dance Amanda!

There is now something for every WCS dancer on Swinging Sundays.

Beginner Casual Class - 6-7pm

These classes are perfect for anybody who wants to learn WCS, revise the basics, or spend some time breaking old habits. 

Each week we will work on fundamental swing technique and a selection of the six basic dance patterns.

You can start the beginners class on any week. You can stay in the classes for as long as you like, and it doesn’t matter if you miss a week because the classes are ongoing.

Once you are comfortable with the six basic patterns you can progress into the intermediate casual class (Sundays at 7pm). 

Class price ($15) includes the social dance from 8-10pm.

Intermediate Casual Class (Cool Moves) - 7-8pm

This class focuses on fun and cool moves that you can use on the dance floor straight away.

Every week Amanda will teach the pattern and technique of a new figure based on one of the fundamental West Coast Swing steps.

Class price:

$15 includes the social dance from 8-10pm.

$25 includes both beginners and intermediate class and social dance.

Swing Space Practice Session - 6-7pm

Need some space to practice your swing?

Then come down to Swing Space at Swinging Sundays. Every Sunday the Dance Amanda Swinging Sundays dance floor will be open for you to practice.

The Beginners Casual Class is on at the same time so slow music will be intermittently played. 

Swing Space is FREE and open to all, no need to book, just show up.

Open Social Dance - 8-10pm

Chill out with a great crowd and an awesome mix of music by DJ Amanda at our Open Social Dance.

All levels are welcome.

Social dance is included with any class or $10 for social dance only.
