Mario Robau aka “Swingdaddy” West Coast Swing Legend!
We have just spent another four days in Houston Texas training with Mario Robau and Stephanie McPherson-Robau and we are shattered.
We have to admit that except for a bit of shopping and visiting a couple of bars, we haven’t really done anything except train, eat at the many different burgers joints that Mario is an expert in, and talk to Mario and Steph endlessly about dance.
Mario is really quite an amazing choreographer. He has completely overhauled our routine without really changing anything … which sounds strange … but is awesome. His eye for movement and ear for the music is astounding and we would highly highly recommend anybody to work with him if you ever get the chance.
Observations about Houston Texas.
- Everything is cheaper … so cheap it feels silly.
- The cars and trucks are bigger … much bigger.
- The people are really friendly.
- The stores are so huge you need Google maps to navigate from one department to another.
- The food portion sizes are bigger, but only just.
